Another #EMR vendor in #Ontario bites the dust?

It looks like another #OntarioMD approved EMR vendor is no more. In a follow up to our article “Instability with #EMR in #Ontario“, yesterday OntarioMD updated their approved vendors to indicate the following.

As of February 20, 2015 the Jonoke Software Corporation Inc’s EMR offering JonokeMed v5.5 is no longer a funding eligible EMR.

Combination of imaging methods improves diagnostics

Scientists from the Helmholtz Zentrum München and the Technische Universität München have succeeded in a breakthrough for the further development of contrast agents and consequently improved diagnostics with imaging using MRI procedures. The results have been published in the “Angewandte Chemie International Edition” journal.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) offers a high-resolution procedure for the diagnostic imaging of patients. Often this procedure additionally uses contrast agents that clarify certain tissue structures and pathological processes. However the image signal that is generated in the MRI does not correlate with the actual quantitative concentration of contrast agent in the tissue.

OntarioMD Announces Results of Stage 1 to select additional ASP EMR offerings

The RFQ was opened on November 6, 2014 and closed on December 3, 2014. The RFQ was posted on MERX, an electronic tendering service, and was open to all vendors (i.e., not limited to Canadian vendors).

Five respondents successfully completed Stage 1 and have qualified to participate in the next stage for detailed evaluation, validation and potential certification of their proposed ASP EMR offerings.
